Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of civil servants from Uzbekistan visited Estonia to study the country’s best practices in the field of startups and digitalization of small and medium-sized businesses. The visit was organized with the support of UNDP in Uzbekistan.
Between 20 and 22 May 2024, the delegation participated in the EstBAN Congress in Tallinn and visited several Estonian government institutions. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with Estonia’s experience in developing the startup ecosystem and introducing digital technologies for SMEs.
During the visit, Uzbek government officials received important information about the mechanisms of business angel investment and venture financing, and learned about the government’s role in stimulating innovation and creating a favorable environment for startups. They also got acquainted with Estonia’s best practices in the digitalization of SMEs.
