On 12-14 September, representatives of the Xi’an Association at the invitation of the UNESCO office in Tashkent are in Uzbekistan to participate in the UNESCO sub-regional meeting on the Silk Road.

On 12 September, the first deputy chairman Ravshan Usmanov met with the president of the Association Mr. Chan Shen and vice-president Mr. Shao Zhen Yu

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the priority areas of bilateral relations in the field of cultural tourism research, including in the framework of sister cities between Samarkand and Xian.

The Association management expressed intentions in cooperation with the State Committee for Tourism in studying the tourism sector of the republic, strengthening the exchange of information to stimulate tourist flows to Uzbekistan and China, as well as establishing work on developing joint tourist routes and exchanging employees and representatives of the tourist business (guides).
