Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture held talks with a delegation from the People’s Republic of China, led by Jiang Bo, Deputy Director of the Agriculture Department of Guangxi Province.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation and the implementation of new projects.
It was noted that this year, relations between Uzbekistan and China in agriculture, including cotton farming, seed production, and research initiatives, have significantly strengthened.
The talks included proposals for joint work in areas such as fish feed production, livestock development, animal disease control, and the processing of fruits and vegetables. Special attention was given to the implementation of advanced agro-technologies and the rational use of water resources.
The Chinese delegation expressed interest in studying Uzbekistan’s opportunities and needs to formulate specific proposals. In turn, representatives of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture confirmed their readiness to provide comprehensive support within their authority.
Following the negotiations, both sides agreed to prepare detailed proposals for cooperation in key agricultural sectors and continue strengthening their partnership in the future.
