Uzbekistan and China Discuss Expansion of Cooperation in Socio-Economic Development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 September, a meeting took place in Tashkent between representatives of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade and a delegation from the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.

During the talks, the parties highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation, noting the steady growth of trade, economic, and investment ties, as well as expanding collaboration in technical assistance and grant-based support.

Special attention was given to prospects for deepening partnership in key areas of socio-economic development. The discussions covered initiatives aimed at ensuring sustainable growth, introducing innovations, improving the population’s well-being, and addressing modern challenges.

Both sides confirmed their readiness to jointly explore new areas of cooperation, taking into account the priorities of both countries.

Participants expressed confidence that regular high-level dialogue provides a solid foundation for expanding joint projects, sharing experience, and attracting investment.

They also reaffirmed their intention to maintain active working contacts, ensure the implementation of agreed initiatives, and develop new forms of cooperation.

Following the talks, both parties underscored their commitment to further strengthening mutually beneficial relations, as well as the strategic partnership and friendship between Uzbekistan and China.
