Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The eighth meeting of the Subcommittee on Cooperation in the Field of Transport of the Uzbek-Chinese Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee was held.
First Deputy Minister of Transport Mamanbiy Omarov and Deputy Minister of Transport of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Wang Gan took part in the meeting via videoconference.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the further development of cooperation in the transport and communications sector, the development of effective measures on a number of issues of increasing the volume of cargo transportation between the two countries.
In particular, the parties agreed on issues related to the issuance of visas to drivers in the field of international freight transport by road, as well as the use of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan permits for commercial transportation.
Also at the meeting, issues related to the development of cooperation in the railway and aviation spheres, the activities of the multimodal transport corridor “states of the Asia-Pacific region - China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan - Turkmenistan - Iran - Turkey - Europe”, the implementation of the project for the construction of the “China” railway were discussed – Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan.”
