Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Azizov, held a meeting with representatives of the Russian company BioVitrum.

The parties discussed investment opportunities, as well as the incentives and preferences offered within the framework of the innovative scientific and industrial pharmaceutical cluster Tashkent Pharma Park.

BioVitrum, a company with over 20 years of experience in laboratory diagnostics, is one of Russia’s leading firms in the supply and production of medical equipment, reagents, and IT services. Its portfolio includes over 300 products ranging from laboratory consumables and equipment to advanced IT solutions.

Company representatives highlighted the opening of a new production and warehouse complex in Russia’s Leningrad region in 2024, which features a research center and a quality control laboratory. They also expressed their intention to build a similar facility in Uzbekistan.

In addition, BioVitrum shared plans to launch the production of paraffin-based products—currently manufactured by only five companies globally.

Director Azizov praised the company’s initiative and reaffirmed the Agency’s full support for establishing the manufacturing complex in Uzbekistan, pledging comprehensive assistance for the successful implementation of the project.
