Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The visit of a delegation of representatives of the business community of Uzbekistan to Lithuania continues.
As part of this visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan met with the General Director of the large Lithuanian logistics company Bega, Laimonas Rimkus.
This meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Dilshod Rasulov and Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Lithuania Timur Rakhmonov.
Bega was founded in 1992 and is the first private stevedoring company in the port of Klaipeda in Lithuania. It provides various transport and logistics services and specializes in the transportation of bulk and liquid cargo.
Various issues were discussed at the meeting, including the prospects for exporting Uzbek products to European markets and the created conditions for entrepreneurs.
Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of exporting Uzbek products to Western European markets through Lithuania.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the creation of a trading house of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, a special hub for storing Uzbek products and an economic terminal in the port of Klaipeda. This terminal will become a center for the distribution, packaging and export of Uzbek products to other European markets once they arrive in Lithuania.
