Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting held at the “Uzcharmsanoat” Association has opened new opportunities for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Bangladesh in the leather industry.
Akbar Sultanov, Acting Chairman of the Association, presented to the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Mohammad Monirul Islam, several promising areas for joint development:
- Investments in the production of leather and leather goods.
- Export of Uzbek leather to the Bangladeshi market.
- Training of specialists in the leather industry.
Sultanov emphasized that Uzbekistan is ready to offer Bangladeshi companies several incentives, including tax and customs benefits, which make investment in the country’s leather sector even more attractive.
Bangladeshi Ambassador expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries will be fruitful. He highlighted the importance of organizing mutual visits and experience exchanges between leather industry professionals.
The parties agreed to conduct business missions and organize specialized forums, creating favorable conditions for experience exchange and strengthening trade ties between companies in Uzbekistan and Bangladesh.
