Uzbekistan and Bahrain agree on developing infrastructure projects and innovative financial approaches
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 February 2025, in Saudi Arabia, as part of the Conference of Emerging Market Countries, a meeting was held between the Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Salman Al Khalifa, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Minister of Economy and Finance, Jamshid Kuchkarov.
The meeting was also attended by Khalid Humaidan, the Chairman of the Central Bank of Bahrain, Mubarak Mattar, Assistant Deputy Secretary of State for Financial Affairs, and other high-ranking officials.
The sides discussed a range of issues related to the development of bilateral economic cooperation, including stimulating economic growth, creating infrastructure projects, and strengthening ties with financial institutions in Bahrain.
The key topics discussed included:
Expanding trade and economic relations between the two countries.
Implementing innovative approaches in the financial sector.
Utilizing advanced financial technologies, drawing from Bahrain’s experience.
Socio-economic reforms in Uzbekistan and their outcomes.
At the conclusion of the talks, the parties agreed to further strengthen mutually beneficial relations and develop joint projects aimed at supporting sustainable economic growth.
