Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have agreed to launch seven projects with a total value of US$520 million, according to the Azerbaijani news agency Report.
As part of the cooperation, Global Textile plans to build a textile cluster in the Yevlakh district of Azerbaijan, with an investment of US$104 million. The project will cover the entire production cycle, from cotton cultivation to finished textile products.
Additionally, three more projects are planned from the Uzbek side. TST Group will construct a textile cluster in the Imishli district, valued at US$54 million. Business Tex will establish a textile factory in Khankendi worth US$6 million. A Friendship Garden of the two countries, with an investment of US$3 million, will also be created in the Fizuli district.
Several major projects are also planned in Uzbekistan. A gypsum and gypsum board production plant worth US$20 million will be built in Kamashi district of Kashkadarya Province. The plant is expected to produce 350 tons of products per day.
Furthermore, Pasha Development, a subsidiary of Pasha Holding, intends to build a five-star hotel and premium-class residence under The Ritz-Carlton brand in Chilanzar district of Tashkent, with an investment of US$200 million.
Another significant project includes the construction of the Agalarov Residence, a residential complex in the Mirabad district, with a cost of US$133 million. In September, Agalarov Development plans to commence the construction of an apartment hotel with 750 units.
