Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan hold consultations in the consular field

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 April 2019, the first consultations in the consular sphere between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan were held in Tashkent.

During the meeting, the parties, recognizing the absence of any controversial issues between the two countries in the consular and legal sphere, discussed the prospects for further cooperation, as well as the current interaction between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.

Special attention was paid to migration issues, legal assistance in civil, family and criminal cases.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, a protocol was signed on holding consultations, which regulates the implementation by the concerned agencies of the two countries of the agreements reached in the consular and legal sphere.

Representatives of the consular services of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Justice, Internal Affairs, Labor, Prosecutor General's Offices, the border services of the two countries, as well as the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tashkent took part in the negotiations on both sides.
