Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 November 2024, a meeting took place with the participation of Dilshod Rasulov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, and a delegation led by Shahin Sadigov, Chairman of the Economy Research Institute of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy.
Representatives from the "Uztextileprom" Association and "Uzum Market" LLC also participated in the meeting.
The main topic of discussion was the strengthening of trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, with a focus on increasing bilateral trade turnover and attracting foreign investments. Special attention was given to the opportunity for Uzbek manufacturers to showcase their products on the Azexport electronic exhibition platform, created by the Azerbaijan Center for Economic Reforms and Communications. The possibility of organizing an electronic stand for their products was also discussed.
Additionally, the sides discussed the prospects for creating joint ventures involving companies from both countries, aiming to actively promote the export of goods from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan to their domestic markets.
The head of the Azexport platform, Ayhan Gadashev, presented a presentation highlighting the features and operational principles of the platform.
As a result of the talks, the parties agreed to explore steps for implementing the planned project, establishing joint ventures, and enhancing mutual cooperation between the two organizations.
