Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 September 2024, Ilkhom Makhkamov, the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, met with Konstantin Limitovskiy, Vice President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

Konstantin Limitovskiy emphasized the importance of the transport sector for AIIB’s activities and expressed the bank’s interest in further involvement in the implementation of joint infrastructure projects.

Ilkhom Makhkamov highlighted that AIIB is a key partner among international financial institutions, providing significant support for large transport projects.

The parties discussed the current status of ongoing projects and explored opportunities for AIIB’s participation in new prospective initiatives.
