Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhabov, held a meeting with the governor of Afghanistan’s Mazar-i-Sharif province, Muhammad Yusuf Wafa, to discuss the development of trade, economic, and agricultural cooperation between the two countries.

The talks were also attended by the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Mazar-i-Sharif, Jafar Fattayev, as well as representatives of the company Electronic Autonomous Solutions, which specializes in the production of anti-drone technologies in Uzbekistan.

A key focus of the meeting was the expansion of cooperation in the agricultural sector and the introduction of modern technological solutions.

In particular, the sides discussed proposals to cultivate Uzbek cotton varieties on 100 hectares of land in Afghanistan, as well as the introduction of a new cotton farming system for local farmers and the exchange of expertise in the agricultural field.

The parties also considered opportunities for implementing joint projects using high-tech solutions and further strengthening mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
