The airline said it carried out 18,548 flights in nine months of 2013 and transported 2.064 million passengers and 30,000 tonnes of cargoes, including paid luggage.
The growth of passenger transportation by over 5% was achieved due to increase of air transportation to the CIS states by 4.3%, non-CIS states – by 10.5% and local flights – 0.4%. The average load of passengers per flight rose from106 to 111.
The Council also discussed expansion of technical base of Uzbekistan Airways Technics (UAT) to master services on providing technical maintenance services to Boeing-787-Dreamliner.
It is expected that Uzbekistan Airways will receive two Boeing-787-Dreamliner airplanes in 2016 and it is necessary to prepare all divisions and services to operate the airplanes.
In this connection, the UAT will develop a plan on organizational-technical measures on mastering airplanes of Boeing-787-Dreamliner type and undergo certification on compliance to EASA requirements and include Boeing-787-Dreamliner airplanes to Scope of Work to current EASA certificate.
