Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – As previously reported, the international airport "Urgench" will be temporarily closed from 20 July to 7 August 2024, due to runway reconstruction.
During the reconstruction period, all scheduled flights will be redirected to the international airport "Nukus." Uzbekistan Airports will provide passengers with free shuttle service between Nukus and Urgench airports. Buses will pick up passengers both for departures and upon arrival.
For example, passengers on flight HY-9615 from Urgench to Moscow need to arrive at Urgench airport by 23:00.
According to the schedule, buses will depart with passengers at 23:30 from Urgench airport. At 02:30, passengers will be transported to Nukus airport, from where the flight will be operated.
Similarly, the process for transporting arriving passengers from Nukus to Urgench will be organized in the same way.
After passing border control and collecting their luggage at Nukus airport, passengers will find buses waiting to take them to Urgench.
