Uzbekistan adopts programme for football development for 2018-2022
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with his resolution from 16 March approved a programme on further development of football in Uzbekistan for 2018-2022.

According to the document, Bunyodkor stadium with all buildings in Tashkent will be base of Uzbekistan Football Association on organization of training process of national teams on football and holding sport and other events.

Fourteen children and youth football academies will be created in Tashkent and regions. Uzbekistan Football Association will create Republican children and youth football academy. The academy will train football players for national teams and professional clubs.

Republican school of football coaches and referees under the Ministry of physical culture and sport is abolished. Uzbek leader authorized Uzbekistan Football Association to train and retrain coaches and referees.

According to the resolution, Fund for support of football of Uzbekistan and its branches are liquidated as well.

President order to approve programme “Football pitches in each mahalla”, which envisages construction of football pitch in each mahalla (neighborhood), including via public-private partnership.

It is also planned to construct a modern football stadium in Qoqand due to resources of sponsors and additional sources of local budget of Ferghana region.

The document said that educational and training base under Uzbekistan Football Association for national teams will be created on the base of Sijjak resort in Bostanlik district of Tashkent region.

Uzbek leader provided tax preferences to the Association, professional football league and professional clubs till 1 January 2023.

Foreign specialists, attracted by the Association, professional football league and professional clubs, are exempted from payment of income tax.
