Uzbekistan - a country of great opportunities and an open-air museum - “Gala Magazine”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The French magazine Gala Magazine has dedicated 45 pages of its issue to the cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan, Dunyo reported.

Gala Magazine, a leading French publication dedicated to fashion and art, is published in print and electronic versions. The monthly number of readers of the magazine exceeds 13 million. The publication is aimed at a female audience, reflects all aspects of a lifestyle with an emphasis on fashion trends. The circulation of the printed version of the magazine is more than 200 thousand copies. The magazine has over 7 million subscribers on social networks.

The pages of the issue feature colorful photographs of Samarkand, Bukhara and Tashkent made by the creative team of the publication that visited our country in June this year.

The materials tell about the sights and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, the history and modern development of the country, the measures taken to develop the tourism sector.

So, the author of the article entitled “Uzbekistan is a country of great opportunities” - journalist Natalie Bomgartner shares with readers his impressions of traveling to our country, visiting the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara.

“In this country, magnificent landscapes bathe in such intense light that pictures can only be taken early in the morning or late at night. People living here are surrounded by many sacred places, mosques and mausoleums, against whose walls prayers are heard from all over the world. There you feel the spirit of the world. The Gala Magazine team felt this. It was in such a fraternal atmosphere that our working days passed,” she writes.

The article notes the abundance of local markets, the magnificent taste of Uzbek fruits and vegetables, the beauty of historical and architectural monuments, distinguished by their emerald mosaic.

“Every place is a miracle. Every meeting is enlightenment. Embroiderers have unique fabrics, artisans make accessories that are exquisitely stylized from generation to generation. In order to get even more stunning shots, we needed a height, and we find mountain landscapes with such views, where any frame will be perfect. Our only limitation? Difficulty making the right choice in all this diversity. Everything is a gift here,” the French journalist admires.

The author of the article “Uzbekistan - an open-air museum”, Isabelle De Pufelu, notes that today Uzbekistan is becoming open to tourists and is taking all necessary measures to create favorable conditions for recreation. She reports that an entry visa to the country has been canceled for the French, which makes it very attractive in terms of logistics and planning. The French journalist writes about Uzbek hospitality, emphasizing that the proverb “Guest above father” is popular here.

Talking about the pearls of the Silk Road - Samarkand and Bukhara, the author writes that these historical cities are amazing. It is emphasized that today they are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and are perfectly restored, attracting more and more travelers.

“Products, mainly silk and spices, were transported from China to Rome. The path was difficult and dangerous. Over the centuries, prosperous cities have been created along these oases. The one who owns these grand cities demonstrates his power to the whole world. Alexander the Great, when he first saw Samarkand, was delighted with its beauty. In the XIV century, Amir Temur, whose empire stretched from Asia Minor to the Himalayas, founded the capital of his state here. In Samarkand, located at the crossroads of the Silk Road, they spoke all languages, in the western direction from it lay the road to Persia, in the east - China, in the south - India,” the article says.

French journalists recommend that the French hurry to see all the beauties of Uzbekistan, from its historical monuments to unsurpassed natural landscapes, the diversity of which from hot deserts, flowering oases and picturesque mountains cannot but catch the imagination.
