Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to prepare for the autumn-winter season of 2024-2025, major, medium and current repairs of a total of 53 facilities are planned at thermal power plants and central centers, including 14 power units, 28 boiler units, 7 combined cycle installations, 3 gas turbine units and 1 turbogenerator. Uzbekenergotamir JSC is participating in this as one of the main contractors.
Preparations for the season began in February of this year, and to date, repair work has been completed on 1 power unit, 2 combined cycle gas plants on 3 boiler units. Currently, repair work is underway at 1 combined cycle plant, 5 power units and 14 boiler units.
Due to the full implementation of planned repair work, the existing capacity of power equipment will be increased by 281 MW, and the production capacity of boiler equipment by 150 tons-hours.
Today, large combined cycle plants at the Talimarjan Thermal Power Plant and the Turakurgan Thermal Power Plant are ready for the season. Here, specialists from Uzbekenergotamir JSC worked together with chief engineers of the Japanese company Mitsubishi.
In the thermal power plant system, special attention is also paid to the repair of traditional power units, which play an important role in ensuring the sustainability of electricity production during frosty and winter periods. For example, if we look at the example of the Tashkent Thermal Power Plant, recently repair work was completed on the traditional power unit No. 12 of the enterprise.
In this process, in which about 200 specialists from Uzbekenergotamir JSC took part, repair and adjustment work was carried out on turbine and boiler equipment, a transformer and other auxiliary equipment of the power unit.
As a result, the production capacity of the power unit was increased from 120 MW to 155 MW, and the steam output of the boiler unit was increased from 448 to 528 ton-hours.
The boiler efficiency has also been increased from 88.68 percent to 90.44 percent. At the same time, 140 million cubic meters per year will be saved on the consumption of natural gas, which is the main fuel.
Specialists of Uzbekenergotamir, personnel of power plants and, as we have already mentioned, chief engineers of foreign companies actively participate in these high-tech processes.
The goal of carrying out high-quality and timely repair work is to provide the population, social facilities and economic sectors with a stable power supply.
It should be noted that today Uzbekenergotamir has turned into a system of specialists providing high-level technical support for power plants. The system has also established work on targeted training of qualified specialists.
