Pravda Vostoka newspaper said that the company plans to modernize and reconstruct Farkhad hydro power station and hydro power station at Lower Bozsu cascade.

Jasur Nurdinov said that the tender process has been launched within the project.

In the fourth quarter of 2012, the IDB issued allocation of loan for US$100 million to implement the project. The loan was issued for 16 years with four-year grace period.

The project envisages replacement of generators and turbines, as well as electric equipment, communication lines, etc. The project will allow to increase production capacities by 30 megawatt. The project will be implemented within three years.

The project cost is US$165.7 million. Along with the IDB resources, Uzbekenergo and the Uzbek side will allocate resources to project realization.
