Opera said that the calculation were made on condition that all 100% users of Opera Mini browser in Uzbekistan are paying for internet traffic by gigabyte. At the calculation, the volume of saved data traffic was taken into account and the price of 1 GB was set at US$9.
In the first six months of 2014, the Uzbek users of Opera Mini saved US$4.2 million on mobile internet. They saved it due to Opera Mini’s data compression technology, which compresses the size of all files by up to 10%.
The technology helps users of Opera Mini cut their expenses for mobile internet, especially at roaming and increase speed of load of web-pages at low internet speed.
Opera Mini browser is compatible with thousdands of devices, which work under operation systems Android, Apple and Java.
