Fish produced by the Uzbek-US joint venture Aqua-Todakol in the town of Navoiy [central Uzbekistan] have found their customers within the short period of time.

The company processes fish delivered from the Todakol reservoir and sends them to markets in Navoiy, Bukhara and Samarkand regions. Russian consumers are also showing interest in the company’s products.

"We sent 73 tonnes of our products to the [Russian] town of Nizhniy Novgorod last year. The volumes of export in the past months of this year stood at US$37,000. We will export another 100 tonnes of products till the end of the year. Our company provided almost 100 people with jobs," the joint enterprise’s director, Shohruh Norov, says.
