One of the brothers’ victims, Umid Turdiboyev, said that he was promised a job of a loader in a warehouse and another victim, Elyor Hamroyev, said that their work was hard and they could not leave the country as their passports were not on them. "Sometimes we did not eat for 1-2 days. A loaf of bread was shared among 6-7 people", he said.

Finally, they managed to get their passports and returned home.

A criminal case was launched against Azam Fayziyev. His brother Ansor Fayziyev is hiding, the report said.

Another case spoke about Zokir Azamov and Murod Qoraboyev. They paid US$9,000 to Olim Ahmedov, who promised them well-paid jobs in Sweden. He told the men that he had good friends, who would help them find jobs in that country. Olim Ahmedov helped Zokir Azamov and Murod Qoraboyev get their visas to Sweden. However, when they arrived at the destination there was nobody to meet them and they had to return home.

Upon the arrival in Uzbekistan, the men reported to police about the incident and the culprit was detained, the report said.

The remaining two cases spoke about parents grieving over their children’s death abroad.
