Heads of two states congratulated each other with recently marked the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan and wished peace and prosperity of people of two states.

President of two states highly rated achieved level of Uzbek-Turkmen relations, development and strengthening of which meets interest of two nations.

Expressing gratitude to with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to special attention and contribution to development of bilateral relations, President Islam Karimov emphasized that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to fostering a full-scale dialogue with neighbouring Turkmenistan, relations with which were built on the firm foundation of mutual trust and assistance.

The sides called for the intensification of partnership in the bilateral and multilateral formats and the implementation of new joint projects that would facilitate economic development of the two friendly countries and the region.

President Islam Karimov invited President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to visit Uzbekistan at any convenient time. The Turkmen leader accepted the invitation with gratitude. The sides agreed to adjust the dates of the visit to Tashkent through diplomatic channels.
