Agreement, achieved between Uzbekistan and South Korea in high level, as well as between Ministry of Healthcare of Uzbekistan and Ministry of Healthcare and Social Welfare of South Korea, allowed to boost bilateral cooperation between medical establishments.

Within the upcoming visit, it is planned to discuss issues of mutual exchange and interaction between two ministries. It is planned to sign memorandum of understanding among CNUH, Tashkent Medical Academy and Scientific-Research Institute of traumatology and orthopaedy.

At the same time, Korean specialists will give their consultations to the Uzbek patients on treatment of traumatology and orthopaedy diseases at UMT medical center in Tashkent for free of charge.

The Korean specialists will also present opportunities of Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital and participate in seminar for medical specialists.

Hoon Kook, head of the delegation and rector of CNUH, said: “We want to discuss wide-range of issues with partners in Uzbekistan, such as cooperation in healthcare sector and medical science, which represent mutual interest. We hope for positive results.”

It is also planned to discuss such issues as internship of specialists to improve their skills and exchange of advanced experience in healthcare and medical services, sending volunteers and rendering humanitarian aid, holding joint scientific researches, exchange of scientific information and new technologies in medical sector.

Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital is largest medical, educational and scientific establishment in Kwangju province and one of healthcare centers in South Korea.

CNUH is unique medical center, equipped with latest technologies, and it renders medical assistance to over 1.7 million patients a year.
