In particular, it said that MPs started the session with considering and approving the bill on introducing amendments and changes to the law "On countering legalization of criminal incomes and terrorism financing". The report quoted senators as saying that the "law norms will regulate relations in the sphere of countering legalization of criminal incomes and terrorism financing taking into account current challenges", and added that "the amendments made to the law were aimed at improving control over financial operations" to this effect.

The report went on saying that the Senate approved a bill "On ratification of agreement between Uzbekistan and Japan on liberalization, encouragement and protection of investments".

The Senate also approved the appointment of the new Uzbek ambassadors to Malaysia and Turkmenistan, the report added.

A total of 23 issues, including 13 draft laws, were discussed at the session, the report concluded.
