On Saturday, 11 August, two earthquakes hit northern-western Iran. The first with the magnitude of 6.4 was registered at 16:53 local time in Tabriz city. After 11 minutes, the second earthquake with magnitude of 6.3 hit Iran.
Close to 300 people were believed to be dead and over 3,000 people were injured in the result of natural disaster.
