According to the decree, Uzbek leader conferred the rank of Uzbekistan iftihori (Honour of Uzbekistan) to member of Uzbekistan weightlifting team and world champion Ruslan Nurudinov.

Another member of Uzbekistan team and bronze medal winner of the world championship Ulugebek Alimov received the rank “Honoured athlete of Uzbekistan”.

They were awarded for their high results at the world championship and contribution to raising authority and prestige of the country at international arena, personal service for improving sport glory of the country.

Ruslan Nurudinov became world weightlifting champion at the World Championship in Wrocław, Poland.

In weight category of 105 kg Ruslan Nurudinov lifted 190 kg in snatch and 235 kg in clean and jerk. Champion of Universiade in Kazan lifted 425 kg in total and won the first place of the tournament.

Ulugbek Alimov won a bronze medal in weight category of 77 kg with total 355 kg (158 kg in snatch and 197 kg in clean and jerk) of the championship.
