Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the spring session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), a parliamentary delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, took part in a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery.

The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II and served as a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the millions who gave their lives for freedom, peace, and future generations.

Leaders and members of parliamentary delegations from CIS countries also participated in the ceremony. A wreath was laid on behalf of the heads of delegations in honor and remembrance of the fallen. Participants then paid tribute by laying flowers at the memorial.

Such commemorative events highlight the importance of preserving historical memory, strengthening humanitarian ties, and fostering spiritual unity among the peoples of the CIS nations.
