Uzbek leader signs law on ratification of Instruments amending ITU Constitution and Convention
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan signed a law “On ratification of the Instruments amending the Constitution and the Convention of the International Telecommunication Union, adopted by the Plenipotentiary Conferences in 2006 (Antalya) and 2010 (Guadalajara)” on 14 December 2011.

Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 13 September 2011 and Senate approved it on 6 December 2011.

The document is aimed at ratifying Instruments amending the Constitution and the Convention of the ITU, which were signed in 2006 and 2010.

The ratification of the documents will ensure active participation of Uzbekistan in international activity on standardization in communication and information, expand access of Uzbekistan to modern IT solutions in data transfer, allow to exchange international experience.
