Uzbek leader congratulates new Japanese PM

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov has greeted Yoshihiko Noda on his election as President of Democratic Party of Japan and to the post of Prime Minister.

Uzbek President has noted in his message that Uzbekistan considers Japan a long-term reliable partner in Asia and in the world as a whole, and expressed confidence in that the strategic cooperation between the two nations will keep developing and strengthening with the personal support and active involvement of Yoshihiko Noda.
