Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 20 August 2009 and Senate approved it nine days later.
The agreement envisages cooperation of the SCO member states in preventing, suppression and exposure of crimes related to illegal turnover of weapon, ammunition and explosives in line with the legislations of the member states and international agreement.
Interior Ministry of Uzbekistan, National Security Service of Uzbekistan, State Customs Committee and Prosecutor-General Office were named as responsible bodies to implementation of the agreement.
The SCO groups China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
