The intergovernmental agreement was signed in Tashkent n 30 March 2011. The document was inked by the chairperson of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan Zohid Dusanov and Jordan Ambassador to Uzbekistan Muwaffaq Ajlouni.
The agreement envisages exact calculation of customs duties, taxes and other payments between the two countries, as well as ensuring that customs tariffs during export and import of goods are defined correctly. The sides will also cooperate in preventing violations and developing cooperation in the customs sphere.
President Islam Karimov entrusted the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs to notify Jordanian side about implementation of inter-state procedures, necessary for entering into force of the agreement.
