Uzbek, Kazakh PMs discuss development of bilateral ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev held negotiations with his Kazakh counterpart Serik Ahmetov in Tashkent on 21 December 2012.

UzA reported that the sides considered current state and perspectives of trade-economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

At the negotiations of the delegations of two states, it was said that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan is developing gradually in all areas, in particular, in trade-economic, social-cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

Serik Ahmetov underlined that Kazakhstan considers expansion of relations with Uzbekistan as priority direction.

Kazakh Prime Minister said Kazakhstan is happy with achievements of Uzbekistan. He added that two states created firm legal framework of further development of interaction in various areas, including in economy. He said that current visit will serve for further expansion and development of bilateral relations.

The sides considered implementations of agreements, reached during the talks of presidents of two states. It was said that both countries are interested in further boosting bilateral ties.

At the end of the meeting, Uzbek Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Certification and Committee of technical regulatinf and metrology of Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in standardization, metrology and assessment of appliance.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kazakhstan signed agreement on creation of business council.

On the same day, Kazakh delegation paid visit to International Forum’s Palace “Uzbekistan”.
