Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by Minister Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov, participated in the first meeting of interior ministers of member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held on 6 September in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic.

Along with the delegation of Uzbekistan, the interior ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Türkiye, as well as the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, were present.

The participants emphasized that the event, based on historical ties, common language, culture, and traditions, will greatly contribute to the spiritual unity of the Turkic peoples, strengthening fraternal bonds, and fostering comprehensive cooperation.

During the meeting, participants discussed various issues related to combating crime, including extremism, human trafficking, cybercrime, drug trafficking, and illegal migration within the member states. They also identified potential areas for cooperation between the respective departments of the interior ministries.

The event, held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, concluded with the signing of the Declaration of the first meeting of the interior ministers of the Organization of Turkic States.
