According to the press-service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan, the French delegation was received by the Minister of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan lieutenant general Bakhodir Matlyubov. The officials of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan also participated at the meeting.
Bakhodir Matlyubov said that Uzbekistan and France have been cooperating successfully for long time, including in law protection.
It was noted that the sides have been successfully cooperating in fighting international terrorism, illegal drug trafficking, protection of human rights.
It was underlined that international terrorism, which is financed by producers of drugs, is real threat to safety and security of the world. Uzbek Interior Minister raised situation in Afghanistan and production of drugs in the country. He said that it is necessary to strengthen actions against drug production in Afghanistan.
Matlyubov briefed the French envoy on the structure and divisions of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, its activities on protection of legislation and rights of people, as well as about mahallas and activities on inspectors in places.
Jacques-Henry Heuls, in his turn, expressed gratitude for warm reception and expressed his assurance that cooperation of law enforcement bodies between law enforcement bodies between Uzbekistan and France will be continued. The sides considered several perspective issues during the talks.
