The document was signed within the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United States.

The document determines the areas of potential cooperation between the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications and one of the world’s leading IT companies, the press service of the Ministry of Finance informs.

Under the document, the parties will cooperate in such areas as improving protection of intellectual property and raising the level of cybersecurity in Uzbekistan.

The parties will promote innovations in the field of information technology, cloud and mobile solutions, as well as e-government technologies, open data and big data.

The parties will also support the development of software and IoT-solutions.

In next stage of cooperation, Microsoft can realize projects on raising awareness of population and businesses of Uzbekistan on cloud and mobile technologies (including skills development and knowledge transfer), provide expert support for start-ups, cloud and mobile business solutions, open data projects and big data, as well as organize trainings on development of IT skills and cybersecurity.
