Uzbek ICT Minister invites Kazakhstani IT companies to invest in projects that allow more efficient use of labor resources in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 December, Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov took part and spoke at an expanded meeting of the Business Council and Business Forum in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) with the participation of the business circles of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

In his report, Sherzod Shermatov noted that the "Digital Agenda" is aimed at solving a number of key issues, and also presented information on the work done within the framework of the "Digital Uzbekistan-2030" Strategy. In particular, to date, more than 300 projects have been implemented, another 189 projects will be implemented by the end of this year, 53 projects by the end of 2022.

The Minister of ICT also focused on the measures taken and the results achieved in Uzbekistan in a number of areas:

- provision of fast and convenient Internet services in settlements;

- further expansion of the coverage of e-government;

- training of qualified IT personnel;

- further development of the IT industry and digital entrepreneurship.

The Minister of ICT Shermatov paid special attention to the implementation of the Digital Kazakhstan program in Kazakhstan. He noted the importance of cooperation with Kazakhstani colleagues in achieving priorities and tasks in the above areas, and in this regard, the implementation of joint IT projects between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
