During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on current state and perspectives of deepening relations between Uzbekistan and UNESCO, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
At the meeting the sides underlined mutual interest in gradual implementation of existing potential of cooperation, which is based on rich historic and cultural heritage of Uzbek people and significant opportunities of global and authoritative international structure as the UNESCO.
The sides considered implementation of joint projects in culture, education, information technologies and others.
UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Stefan Priesner and UNESCO Representative (a.i) Krista Pikkat participated at the meeting.
