The SCO Secretary-General Dmitry Mezentsev arrived in Tashkent to participate in next session of the Council of the heads of the governments of the SCO member states.
The sides discussed practical issues of upcoming session of the SCO Prime Ministers’ summit, which will be attended by the heads of the governments of six member states, delegations of the observer states and international partner organizations such as UN ESCAP, ASEAN and CIS.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) is a permanent intergovernmental international organisation creation of which was proclaimed on 15 June 2001 in Shanghai (China) by the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People’s Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
India Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan have observer status at the SCO. Belarus, Turkey and Sri Lanka are dialogue partners of the SCO.
