Uzbek envoy hands over credential to Irish President

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Ireland with residence in London Otabek Akbarov handed over credentials to the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins on 21 May 2013.

Jahon news agency reported that at the meeting the sides discussed issues of boosting and expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Ireland in all directions of mutual interest.

President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins expressed hope that appointment of the first Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Ireland will help to further development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Ireland.
