Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 January, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Bahman Agharazi Dormani.
The sides summed up the results of Uzbekistan – Iran dialogue in 2018 and exchanged views on the schedule and agenda of the upcoming joint events in 2019.
Practical aspects of implementation of previously reached agreements on resumption of direct flights between Tashkent and Tehran, expanding the range of mutual deliveries of goods and increasing bilateral trade, as well as development of investment cooperation were discussed.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the parties also considered the issue of holding the next round of inter-MFA political consultations in Tehran.
