Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and director-general of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) met Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Uzbekistan Matthias Mayer on 1 June.

The meeting was courtesy visit of German envoy in connection with start of his mission in Uzbekistan, UzACI reported.

The sides considered issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan-Germany and Germany-Uzbekistan friendship society, deepening bilateral cooperation in information-communication technologies and telecommunication, strengthening of business relations.

The officials noted that the countries have potential to further development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness to work more active to boost ties.

German envoy said the German Embassy in Uzbekistan assists to stir up relations between two states.
