Uzbek delegation participates at SCO session
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A session of the Council of the heads of the governments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held in Saint Petersburg (Russia) on 7 November 2011.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan that the delegation of Uzbekistan led by the First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Azimov participated at the event.

At the session, the SCO member states discussed issues of economic situation in the world and in the SCO space, current affairs and main directions of further developing economic and humanitarian cooperation within the organizations.

It was underlined that it is important to expand trade-economic and investment cooperation with attracting potential of the observer states and dialogue partners of the SCO.

The participants said it is necessary to adopt measures on forming more fair, equal and comprehensive international financial order, taking into account real balance of interests of all its participants and opening equal access to all states to advantages of globalization.

On the results of the meeting, the SCO Prime Ministers signed several documents, directed at further expanding trade-economic cooperation within the organization.
