The State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan said it is carrying out significant work to avoid smuggling of low-quality and uncertified products to the country.

The committee said that there is high number of people, who want to make money on illegal smuggling of mobile handsets.

The committee added that recently detained passenger Beijing-Tashkent flight and of citizen of Tashkent city Aziz U.

During inspection of his luggage, the customs officers of Tashkent International Airport found 182 mobile phones, which were not declared. The handsets were seized and the customs investigation is underway on the case.
