The committee said that Uzbekistan revealed 24,179 cases of violations in 2012. Total sum of illegally moved goods and valuables made up 107.6 billion soums. In the result, some 877 criminal cases and 21,969 administrative cases were opened.

Customs officers seized 368.9 tonnes of non-ferrous and ferrous metals, 121,300 liters of alcohol and alcohol products, 181,500 tonnes of combustive-lubricating products, 270,200 tonnes of meat and products from them, 161,500 packages of cigarettes, 195,600 liters of edible oil, 597 heads of cattle, etc.

They also detained 7,800 psychotropic pills, 6.3 kg of gunpowder, 42 units of weapons, 532 bullets, 99,400 capsules and over 31,000 tonnes of pyrotechnic products.
