Uzbek, Bulgarian ombudsman sign cooperation agreement

The human rights commissioner (ombudsman) of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis (parliament), Sayyora Rashidova, and her Bulgarian counterpart Ginyo Ganev signed an agreement "On cooperation between the human rights commissioner of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis and the Bulgarian ombudsman" on 17 November.
The agreement was signed during the visit of the Uzbek ombudsman to Sofia, Bulgaria.
The agreement envisages the cooperation of sides in information exchange in protecting human rights and freedoms, best practices and legislation on ombudsman activities and human rights.
It also stipulates cooperation of the sides in organization of visits, trainings and conferences, assistance in protection of the human rights and freedoms of two states, as well as preparation of the joint publications.
