The regulator said that over 10.614 million banking cards are owned by individuals, 29,605 – by legal entities and 14,575 – individual entrepreneurs.

Agrobank, National Bank and People’s Bank are leaders on umber of issued banking cards. Agrobank emitted over 2.255 million cards, National Bank – 1.721 million cards and People’s Bank – 1.445 million cards.

Asaka Bank issued 1.123 million banking cards, Ipoteka Bank – 984,384 cards and Uzpromstroybank – 866.773 cards as of 1 October 2013.

The lowest number of banking payment cards were issued by Samarkand Bank (1,075 units) and Hi-Tech Bank (5,362 units).

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, about 2.323 million banking cards were issued in Tashkent city. About 1.013 million cards were issued in Ferghana region, 960,404 units in Kashkadarya region and 812,550 units in Samarkand region.

The commercial banks of Uzbekistan installed 124,541 units of POS-terminals and 1,744 ATMs and infokiosks as of 1 October 2013.

Agrobank, National Bank and People’s Bank also led on number of installed POS-terminals. Agrobank installed over 19,760 POS-terminals, People’s Bank – 18,934 terminals and National Bank – 14,390 terminals.

Kapitalbank (532 units), Hamkorbank (297 units) and National Bank (242 units) are leading on number of installed ATMs and infokiosks.

Largest number of POS-terminals was installed in Tashkent city (26,238 units), Tashkent region (11,087 units), Ferghana region (10,883 units) and Samarkand region (10,122 units).

Tashkent city (685 units), Ferghana region (156 units) and Andijan region (123 units) led on number of installed ATMs and infokiosks.
