Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Junior Asian Championship in sport wrestling continues in the city of Chon Buri of Thailand.

On 10 July, classical wrestlers completed their bouts. These fights were successful for our athletes. In the beginning, Muhammadkodir Yusupov in the weight category - 60 kg defeated all his rivals, became the champion of Asia, and in the weight category –67 kg Umidjon Ahrorov was awarded the bronze medal.

In the weight category -72 kg, Alijon Huseynov reached the final, but lost to his opponent and received a silver medal.

On 11 July, the competition among girls began. Our compatriot Shahribonu Ellieva reached the final in the weight category - 76 kg, but in the decisive battle she lost to her rival from China. Shahribonu was awarded the silver medal of the Asian Championship.

This was the sixth medal of national team of Uzbekistan. Our wrestlers have already won 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.
