Special Olympics World Games is the main event for Special Olympic Movement. The event is organized twice a year with interchange of summer and winter games. Thousands of athletes, coaches, athletes and speculators participate in the Games.

This year, over 7,000 athletes from 170 countries attended the Games. This is the largest sport games in 2015. Special Olympics Uzbekistan (SOU) national team attended the event as well.

The Uzbek team included 20 athletes, who represented the country in such sports as athletics, aquatics, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, table tennis and badminton.

Sen Yolg’iz Emassan Foundation supported initiative to participate of Uzbekistan team in the event and acted as main sponsor of the travel. The Uzbek athletes visited Disneyland and Attraction Park of Universl Studios, and other sites.

The Uzbek athletes won 38 medals at the Games, including 10 gold, 14 silver and 14 bronze medals.

Medalists of the Games:

Swimming:
Alina Nushtaeva - 1 gold medal in the 100 m distance, 1 silver medal in the relay 4 * 25 m.
Nikolay Karimov - 1 gold medal in the distance of 50 m freestyle, 1 silver medal in the relay at the 4 * 25m freestyle.
Doniyor Tozhimetov - 1 bronze medal in the distance of 50 m breaststroke.
Angelina Gavrina - 1 bronze medal in the race on the back of 25 m.

Badminton:
Nasiba Minozarova - 1 gold medal in the individual competition.
Abduazizov Abdusalomov - 1 silver medal in the individual competition

Sport Gymnastics, boys:
Aziz Sobirov - 3 gold and 1 silver medals.
Jasur Ochilov - 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.

Sport Gymnastics, girls:
Masha Loginova - 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Dilnoza Yuldashev - Level 1 - 1 silver medal.

Gymnastics:
Level I
Mohinabonu Tulyaganova (rope, ball, ribbon, hoop) - 2 silver and 1 bronze medals.

Level IV.
Albina Khabibulin (hoop, ball, ribbon, clubs) - 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals.
Christina Rasschupkina (hoop, ball, ribbon, clubs) - 1 bronze medal.

Athletics:
Alexander Obidov - 1 gold medal in the 100 meters run, 2 bronze medals in the 200 meters run and relay 4 * 100 m.
Daria Zhukova - 1 gold medal in the women’s 100m, 1 silver medal in the women’s 200 meters.
Rufina Shagardanova - 1 gold medal in the long jump.

Table tennis:
Rovshan Yakubov - 1 bronze medal in the individual competition.
Yulduz Abdusadykova - 1 bronze medal in the individual competition.
